The growth and success the Brock has experienced over the years is directly tied to the great individuals and teams that represent us every day at our customers’ facilities. Once a year, we like to recognize those that exemplify the qualities and expertise allow us to continually meet our customers’ expectations, as well as stand as examples of our organization’s unwavering dedication to our Bsafe Culture. Brock’s Recognition program, starts with the selection of top performing individuals and sites for the annual President’s Safety Excellence Awards and cu-
mulates in the selection of the CEO Safety Excellence Awards. The winners of the 2023 CEO Safety Excellence Awards are:
SITE RECOGNITIONS SITE OF THE YEAR (SMALL) Afton Chemical - Sauget, IL. BIS Afton Chemical continuously demonstrates their commitment to an unwavering dedication to the safety of their employees and customer satisfaction. They submitted leading indicator data surpassing all other submittals in the Small Site category. Afton Chemical Challenged themselves to raise the bar after becoming the recipient of the CEO Small Site of the Year Award in 2022. The leadership of the 2022 President’s Supervisor of the Year Award, Jeff Llyod, is evident through the sites employee’s commitment to safety within the Afton facility. SITE OF THE YEAR (MEDIUM) Nova Chemical - Geismar, LA. BSL East Nova Chemical Geismar completed the year with zero incidents and credited using Brock’s hazard recognition processes such as HER0 , PAUSE + MORE , and Job Site Analysis processes as helping them attain such a record. Additionally, they credit Brocks Emphasis programs such as Stop the Drop and Bsafe for keeping employees focused on how and why to work safely. Utilizing the Emphasis programs encouraged everyone to participate actively by volunteering to read the material provided or sharing their personal experiences relevant to the topics. The site’s management team has continued to promote an environment of respect and caring by displaying strong leadership, promoting from within, and a commitment to recognition. SITE OF THE YEAR (LARGE) Chevron - El Segundo, CA. Schultz Chevron El Segundo is the epitome of a best-in-class large site, earning the CEO Large Site of the Year Award for its remarkable accomplishments. This industrial powerhouse boasts an impeccable safety record, an unwavering commitment to quality, and an inspiring ability to overcome adversity.
